PM Modi arrives at Bharat Mandapam

New Delhi: An NDA meeting is taking place in Delhi to mark the completion of 12 years of the Modi government at the Centre. Discussions will focus on the government's achievements and future strategy. 

PM Modi Longest-Serving PM LIVE A major meeting of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is being held in New Delhi today to celebrate the completion of 12 years of the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Centre and his achievement as India's longest-serving elected head of government.

Who will be present at the meeting? 

Senior BJP leaders from across the country, leaders of NDA allies, Chief Ministers, Deputy Chief Ministers, and senior coalition office-bearers are participating in this meeting at Bharat Mandapam. They will review the government's priorities and determine the coalition's future strategy.

What is the significance of this meeting? 

This NDA meeting is taking place at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi has achieved a significant political milestone. He has surpassed India's first Prime Minister, Jawaharlal Nehru, to set the record for the longest tenure as an elected head of government since the first general election in 1952.
Senior leaders from across the country have started arriving for the crucial NDA meeting at Delhi's Bharat Mandapam. Chief Ministers Yogi Adityanath (Uttar Pradesh), N. Chandrababu Naidu (Andhra Pradesh), Himanta Biswa Sarma (Assam), Manik Saha (Tripura), and Bhupendra Patel (Gujarat) have already reached the venue.
Additionally, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Union Minister and HAM chief Jitan Ram Manjhi, Rashtriya Lok Dal chief Jayant Chaudhary, Leader of the Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly Suvendu Adhikari, and Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary have also arrived to attend the meeting. Other senior NDA and BJP leaders, including Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Union Minister Anupriya Patel, and UP government minister Om Prakash Rajbhar, have also arrived at Bharat Mandapam. Meanwhile, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has also reached the venue to attend the meeting. This NDA meeting is expected to cover the completion of 12 years of the central government, as well as discussions on the alliance's future strategy and political agenda.
Having assumed office for the first time on May 26, 2014, PM Modi has now completed 4,399 consecutive days as the head of the government, surpassing Nehru's tenure as the head of an elected government. Although Nehru served as Prime Minister from 1947 until his death in 1964, this specific comparison relates to the period following the first Lok Sabha elections.
